Grayson looks like he is about to say something important-so important that he must first close his eyes!

Can you believe Becky lets all these munchkins on her bed?

A very sweet family, the Kerby's, open up their home to all the pre-school kids at church for a Christmas party which is centered around Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. The kids enjoy watching the Rudolph movie, snacking on popcorn and other yummy treats, and of course, getting a visit from Santa himself. Grayson looks forward to this event every year. This year Santa brought him a Batman helicopter which goes to his Imaginex set. This is the first year Grayson hasn't cried when seeing Santa. This was Grayson and mom's favorite year to say the least. When the crying kid is the one who belongs to you, the night can drag on forever, but the nights is so enjoyable when it's someone else's kid who is upset!

Holiday Festivities

Shaking presents

Hangin' with Grandad

We had the opportunity to do a lot of fun things during the Christmas Holidays this year. As Grayson grows, Christmas gets more and more fun. Their first Christmas the parents are more excited about Christmas than they are. They see Christmas as any other day except their naps and schedule are totally interrupted. The next year parents spend a ton of money on presents the kids barely even know are in the room; they would much rather play with the boxes, wrapping paper, and bows. The next year is finally when they realize that life is good at Christmas time! The first three pictures are from Grayson's Christmas with Santa Party at his preschool. We invited our friends, the McCarter's, to join us for the festivities. We enjoyed crafts, yummy snacks, an old fashioned buggy ride, carolers, storytelling, and seeing Santa asleep in his bed. The parent volunteers did an awesome job of creating Santa's bedroom and even engineered him snoring. Grayson along with all the other kids thought this was the best part of the whole day. We had to make several trips back to Santa's room to make sure he was still asleep and in his bed. Christmas is truly magical through children's eyes!
The last picture in this group was so adorable that I had to include it. My dad spends a lot of his time watching tv, reading and working crossword or sudoku puzzles, so Grayson wanted to get in on the excitement. Clint had to travel to South Dakota for business before Christmas, so Grayson, Max, and I headed to Bogata for some spoiling. For some reason, I'm still my parents baby the minute I walk in their house. I went to the back of their house for some reason and this is how I found my dad and Grayson. Grayson was reading the paper to my dad and my dad was intently listening. It was one of those precious moments that just melts your heart. I love my family so much that any moment that includes Grayson and one of them is priceless.

Random Fall Things

Most of my posts are pretty specifice to one topic, but this one contains pictures of different events. The first and last picture are at the Annual Family Retreat at Beaver's Bend. Our church does this every year before the Thanksgiving holidays. There was only one other little boy close to Grayson's age and he left on Saturday, so Grayson made new teenage friends. Of course, he thinks he is just as big as they are, so he would just get right in the middle of whatever the teenagers were doing. They were all really sweet to him and let him join in their conversations and fun. Grayson does have the best personality which allows him to make friends wherever he goes. Grayson and I both love these trips because of the relaxed atmosphere and tons of outdoor activities. I didn't take too many pictures this year because I was too busy having fun. Oh well, I guess that's how it goes sometimes. I've noticed as Grayson gets older, I get more absent minded about caputuring Kodak moments. Clint does go along for these trips and although in the beginning he would rather stay home, he usually has a great time too! The other pictures are Grayson just being Grayson at home. He loves to watch football with his Dad and especially likes the Dallas Cowboys. He's had his uniform for several years now, so this will probably be the absolute last year of wearing it. Grayson also loves any kind of music and enjoys playing the drums, harmonica, and rockin' out on his many guitars. He'll even sing a song or two on request. Some of his favorites right now are Big Green Tractor and anything by Taylor Swift. Can you tell his mother likes country? I guess they love what we expose them to? Clint and I both are so blessed to have this precious little guy in our lives. People always say you love your kids more than you can imagine, but I had no idea how much!!!
