Swim Lessons
Sorry about the girl coming out of her bathing suit in the background!

Chatting with Ryan! Who do you think has the better tan?
Looking cool!
Being silly before the lesson
Grayson is taking private swim lessons at Texas A&M-Commerce. His teacher's name is Ryan and is wonderful with Grayson. Grayson had developed a real fear of the water this year, so I decided private lessons might be the way to go. I would highly recommend them if your child needs some one-on-one attention. They last 45 minutes, and I can schedule them at my convenience which is great with my work schedule and preparing to move soon. I can even relax and lay out while he's taking his lesson. I say relax, but my eyes are constantly on him to make sure he's having fun and is ok. I do have to get in the water occassionally because this Texas heat is too much for me to bare!

The Movies and Burger King

The boy in the bubble-remember that movie???
Grayson and I went to the movies with Shely, Erika, and Briar to see Elmo in Grouchland. If you haven't been this summer, I would highly recommend it. It's only $1 for adults and kids. Great entertainment and even better price. We then met Lindsay, Aubrie, and Emma for lunch and some play time at Burger King. The kids had a blast and the mom's enjoyed the girl time. Poor little Emma climbed nearly to the top of the play thingy (can't think of what to call it) and couldn't figure out how to get down. She was staring at us in the see through bubble crying, "Mommy, Mommy" over and over. The other kids tried to get her down but she wouldn't budge. Aubrie kept saying, "I can't find her". Finally the mom's had to break down and climb in the play thingy to rescue Emma. I'm sure it was a sight to see 3 grown women climbing or let me say "squeezing" through the play area. The people in Burger King not only got a delicous lunch but a lot of hilarious entertainment from the play center!
